These terms and conditions apply to all orders for products placed with us over the telephone or by fax, post, website or email. Please read them carefully before ordering products from us. Nothing in these terms and conditions affects the statutory rights of consumers.
Acceptance of Your Order
We must receive payment of the full price of the products and the delivery charges before we can accept your order. We reserve the right to refuse your order or to restrict the number of products you may order. If an order is placed via email you will be contacted by telephone to confirm the purchase and provide the relevant payment details whether it be by cheque or credit/debit card. We will not usually cash any cheque we receive from you or take any money from the credit/debit account which you provide details of in respect of your order until we have accepted your order. We will acknowledge your order once we have received payment. The products shall then be dispatched by Royal Mail, alternative courier or made available for collection in person.
No contract for the sale of any product will subsist between you and The Better Back Shop until The Better Back Shop dispatches the product(s) ordered. We will confirm that the product(s) have been dispatched by a confirmation email.
PricesOur prices are set out in our store, on our website and on other literature. All prices are in Pounds Sterling. Delivery charges apply and will be communicated to you before completion of your order if delivery is required. These are added to your order and are dependent on the delivery address you have supplied and the weight of the products you have ordered.
Whilst we try to ensure that all prices are accurate, mistakes can sometimes occur. If we discover an error in the price of products you have ordered before accepting your order, we will contact you as soon as possible and give you the option of either reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as being cancelled. If the order is cancelled, we will refund any money which we have taken from you.
All goods must be paid in full prior to your receiving of the item, either by cash, cheque or credit/debit card. The Better Back Shop makes no additional charge for payment by credit card. The Better Back Shop also allow for orders over the phone using a credit/debit card.
All orders are subject to availability of products. If we are unable to deliver a certain product we will notify you and either refund the full amount by cheque in the post or cancel your credit/debit card payment accordingly. Alternatively, we may offer an alternative to the item in question.
The Better Back Shop delivers all goods via Royal Mail or alternative couriers. Delivery prices will become clear when purchasing any product(s).
We will deliver products ordered by you to the address you provide to us. You will not become the owner of the products until they have been delivered to you, at which time they will also become your risk and we will not be liable for any subsequent damage, loss or destruction to them. The Better Back Shop will advise the customer of any delay and the customer shall be entitled to cancel the order within 24 hours of being notified if the revised expected delivery date is unacceptable.
Subject to the right of consumers under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, The Better Back Shop does not accept liability for the of the goods.
Refund and Cancellations Policy
At thebetterbackshop.co.uk we want you to be satisfied every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items.
Your Right To Cancel: Under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to cancel an order within seven working days - starting from the day after you take delivery of the goods. This only applies if the goods are in their original state and original packaging and returned to The Better Back Shop at the address below.

If you have already received the product(s) you must carefully package the product(s) and return them to us at your own expense. Goods returned must be accompanied by a copy of the original receipt, order number, customer's email address, phone number and delivery address.
We recommend that all returns are sent by recorded delivery or similar traceable service, and are insured for the full value of the contents. The Better Back Shop cannot be responsible for lost or uninsured packages. If you do not do so, we will charge you our direct costs of recovering the product(s). We recommend that you use an insured courier service when returning product(s) to us as it is company policy to not make refunds until the products have been received by us.The costs incurred by us to send the product(s) to you will be deducted from any refund amount.
We do not accept liability for any damage caused to the product(s) during transit.
It would help us to know your reason for returning the goods, so please include a short note explaining why.
Until you have returned the product(s) to us, you must keep them in your possession and take good care of them. We will credit the price of the product(s) to your credit/debit card or send you a cheque for the amount to be refunded within 28 days of receipt of the returned item.
Refunds will be made within 28 days of receipt of the notice of cancellation.

eGift Voucher Terms and Conditions
In order to buy an eGift voucher, you must be registered on www.thebetterbackshop.co.uk. A recipient of an eGift voucher must have a valid email address, and although it is possible to receive an eGift voucher without being registered on www.thebetterbackshop.co.uk, it is not possible to redeem before registration. Our eGift vouchers may only be redeemed on The Better Back Shop website, towards the purchase of items listed on www.thebetterbackshop.co.uk, sold by The Better Back Shop.
When payment is made with an eGift voucher, your account is debited immediately upon order confirmation.
This eGift voucher has a cash redemption value of 0.001p and is not transferable or assignable.
Any unused balance will be placed in the recipient's eGift voucher account. If the order exceeds the amount of the eGift voucher, the rest of the balance must be paid by credit or debit card, or by PayPal.
If you request a refund for an order paid for by eGift voucher, your refund will be processed to the same eGift voucher account.
Unfortunately it is not possible to issue refunds to alternative payment types.
eGift vouchers and unused portions of eGift vouchers expire one year from the date of issue.
Buying or redeeming eGift vouchers is subject to our normal Terms and Conditions and order validation procedures.
Promotional discount is not valid when buying eGift vouchers, although is available when the eGift voucher is being redeemed.
The Better Back Shop reserves the right to remove, block or de-activate eGift voucher accounts without notice.

Offers and Promotional Codes
Promotional codes can be used once only per customer as defined by their email address and/or credit card address and/or delivery address. Only one promotional code can be used per transaction. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with certain other thebetterbackshop.co.uk offers. Codes offering a discount when you spend a certain amount can only apply to a single transaction. Please note that promotional codes also have an expiry date, after which they are not redeemable.
Promotional codes remain the property of The Better Back Shop, are non-transferable and may not be reproduced in any form. We reserve the right to remove promotion codes at any time and without warning.
We reserve the right to withdraw offers at any time.

The Better Back Shop has made every effort to reproduce colours on the site as accurately as possible. However, different computers reproduce colours in slightly different ways, and so exact colour matches are not yet possible over the Internet. This means that when you order products from the Shop, colours may differ from what you see on the screen. If you are not satisfied with the colour of the item you have ordered, we operate a returns policy (see Returns for more information).
Complaints and Liability
In the unlikely event of a complaint, it should be addressed to The Better Back Shop through our helpline on 01724 733 334. If the products we deliver to you are not as ordered or are damaged, defective or of incorrect quantity, you should contact us as soon as the fault becomes apparent. We will replace the incorrect, damaged or defective products or make good the shortfall in quantity or, at your option, credit the price and delivery charges of those products to your credit/debit card or send you a cheque for the amount to be refunded. If you do not receive products ordered you should notify us within 28 days of the date of your order (please remember to allow at least 28 days for delivery). We will deliver the products ordered or, if you or we prefer, credit the price and delivery charges of the non-delivered products to your credit/debit card.
We shall not be liable for any delay, or other failure to perform any part of the contract, as a result of any factor outside our control, including but not limited to delays caused by our couriers.
Nothing in these terms and conditions shall be construed to exclude or limit any rights you may have as a consumer to the extent that such liability and rights may not be excluded or limited under applicable statute or law.
The Better Back Shop does not disclose buyer’s information to third parties unless prior permission has been granted.
